Opening across multiple locations, Light Years Noosa Heads very quickly became a beachside favourite.

We are looking for an experienced Assistant Venue Manager for Light Years Noosa Heads to join our talented team.


POSITION SUMMARY          

The Assistant Venue Manager oversees venue operations in the absence of the Venue Manager. They support all front-of-house (FOH) procedures and collaborate closely with the Venue Manager to uphold Light Years standards and ensure adherence to guidelines. Additionally, they assist in monitoring KPI reports and wages.

ABOUT YOU                                                                                                    

  • Ability to monitor all Bar COGS, Stock take and Bar products.
  • Analysis on bar sequence of service & development with Team training & knowledge.
  • Good communication skills
  • Experience with managing a large team
  • Experience in a fast paced and high volume venue
  • Outstanding Customer service & relations
  • Wine and Asian cuisine knowledge - looked upon favourably, but not essential

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES                                                                                            

  • Opening & Closing the Venue to the Light Years Standard.
  • Customer Complaints – Handle all customer complaints when running a shift and improve customer experience in store.
  • Wine service – Teaching staff wine service and basic wine knowledge.
  • Overseeing our reservation system & bookings
  • Venue Maintenance – Record if anything is broken or needs repairing, lodge this directly to the Venue Manager.
  • Monitor Bar Ordering & Stock Levels, Advising how to order and how it needs to adjust accordingly to upcoming bookings. Creating Par Levels for Bar Management.
  • Completing in store reconciliations.
  • Staff Meetings – Weekly meeting with AVM & VM to discuss feedback and development for the team.
  • Ensure key team members/managers are working key shifts ie. Weekends  and public holidays - eg Floor Manager & Bar Manager
  • Marketing -  Continually put forward ideas to drive additional revenue.
  • Training, guiding and working with a large team.
