Moody, monochromatic and intimate, Moonlight is a contemporary hibachi grill and wine bar located a stone’s throw away from the Byron foreshore. Here you’ll find a concentrated menu showcasing classical Japanese cuisine reinterpreted into unexpectedly bold and flavourful ways, along with a sophisticated cocktail menu and a broad selection of biodynamic wines picked at the peak of their lunar cycle.
We are currently seeking Bartenders to join our talented team.
POSITION SUMMARY
The Bartender is responsible for assisting in all beverage operations & bar standards for Moonlight FOH Team. The Bartender is to support the FOH Team in all FOH procedures, whilst working closely with the Bar team to improve and work in with the Moonlight standard to ensure all guidelines are being met.
ABOUT YOU
- Focusing on achieving the best customer service & showcasing Moonlight to the highest standard possible.
- Experience in making cocktails is a must.
- Experience in a fast paced and high volume venue
- Great work ethic and loves working with a team
- Outstanding Customer service & relations
- Wine and Japanese cuisine knowledge – looked upon favourably, but not essential

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Team work – Working with your team to create a fun and happy environment in house & with all staff
- Food & Beverage knowledge – must attend all training or group training to ensure knowledge of the menu is developed to full ability
- Opening & Closing the Venue – Present Venue in accordance to VM, correct lighting, music control, cleanliness, uniforms and all table presentation
- Wine service – Learning wine service and basic wine knowledge
- Checklists – Complete the opening & closing checklists. Ensure updated check lists are displayed in designated areas at all times
- Customer Complaints – Handle all customer complaints when working on shift and improve customer experience in store. Always communicating with your manager about a customer complaint and taking guidance on how to deal with the situation. All customer complaints must be communicated with the manager on shift
