We are currently seeking Kitchen Hands to join our talented team in beautiful Noosa.

POSITION SUMMARY

A Kitchen Hand at Light Years Asian Diner plays a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen. Responsibilities include washing dishes, cleaning food preparation areas, and assisting with basic food preparation tasks. The ideal candidate should be detail-oriented, efficient, and able to work well in a fast-paced environment

ABOUT YOU

  • Sound communication skills
  • Experience in a fast paced, high volume venue (essential)  
  • A positive approach to other team members and FOH staff
  • Experience with Asian ingredients preferred but not essential
  • Be both punctual and reliable
  • Operate well under pressure
  • Experience in basic food preparation preferred but not essential
  • Experience in FIFO and stock control preferred but not essential
  • Maintain food and hygiene standards
  • Being able to follow recipes and specs to a company standard

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain company standards of quality, service, presentation and cleanliness.
  • Making sure all areas or the kitchen are kept clean and organised, working with the chefs to keep
  • Following all chemical and cleaning procedures topping up and letting chef in charge know when chemicals are running low
  • Following all opening and closing down procedures
  • Basic food preparation work following the training provided.
