Set to open in the iconic Gordon Stephenson House, Light Years Perth will introduce a fresh take on modern Asian cuisine to the west coast. This expansive 200-seat restaurant promises a vibrant atmosphere, featuring diverse seating options from lively bars to cozy booths and private dining areas.
The venue's design, crafted by the award-winning Studio Plenty alongside renowned furniture designer Sarah Ellison, will showcase a unique aesthetic that harmonises coastal comfort with contemporary elegance. Expect an inviting space that reflects the playful spirit of Light Years, making it a standout destination for both locals and visitors alike.

Weekends & Public Holidays
We are open almost every day of the year with the main closure being Christmas day! Please note, a weekend surcharge of 10% applies on Saturdays and Sundays, and 15% on public holidays. All credit cards incur a 1.5% surcharge.
Walk-ins
While we recommend reserving your table in advance, we always leave a handful of seats aside for walk-ins. Note, these spaces tend to favour two seaters during the busier periods.
Cake & decorations
We love a celebration! Cakes are welcome, we do not charge a cake cutting fee. For a private dining experiences you’re welcome to organise florals for the table. No confetti or glitter is permitted in venue.
Parking / Public Transport
While there is no street parking, the closest paid parking is available in Wilsons Carpark on 551 Wellington St - a short stroll from Light Years. A Perth Underground station entrance is directly behind the venue if travelling on the Mandurah and Yanchep Lines. Perth's main train station is a 5 minute walk across from Wellington Street.
Set menus
For tables of 8 or more guests you will be required to dine from one of our banquet menus.
For tables of 20 or more guests you will be required to dine on the ‘Premium Selection’ banquet menu only.
Children under 12 are exempt from the banquet and welcome to dine from the kid’s menu. However, they are still included in the total number of guests. For example, a table of 8, including 2 children, the adults will still be required to select from the banquet menus.
Dietary requirements can be catered for with advance notice.

We are able to cater for most dietary requirements. Please make sure you leave a note when making your booking or give us a call prior to your visit.
Note, while we take the upmost care to cater for your individual needs, and have protocols in place to limit cross contamination, we cannot guarantee zero risk of exposure to allergens.
Can I bring my dog?
City street-side dining is coming soon! So while we can't welcome your four legged friend just yet we hope to in the not too distant future.
Events & functions
Celebrate with us! Light Years Perth has plenty of options for group dining experiences. Groups of 8 or more guests will be required to dine on one of our Banquet Menus and (almost) all dietaries can be catered for if advised in advance. There is a Private Dining Room available for up to 10 guests. Note, groups of over 20 guests will be required to dine on our premium banquet.
